Details

For trusts, a Distribution is a payment made to the Trust Unitholders or Beneficiaries.

In CAS 360, Distributions can be added to Unit Trusts.

From the Main Toolbar, go to Trust  Trust.png
Select the Trust from the list. mceclip0.png
Select Unitholders Screen_Shot_2020-09-08_at_9.14.44_am.png

Click Screen_Shot_2019-06-24_at_2.47.02_pm.png

And select Add Distribution

Instructions

CAS 360 will display the Add Distributions screen.

Field
Explanation
Date Declared

Date the distribution declared by the company directors

Toggle ON to use the date declared as the document date

Unit Type Choose a company unit type which dividends will be paid for
Amount type Select either Distribution Per Unit or Total Distribution
Distribution Amount Enter the amount paid per unit or the total amount paid to all unitholders (depending on the amount type selected)
Franked Amount Enter the Distribution Amount (from above) that has been franked
Distribution Tax Rate Select the distribution tax rate.
Distribution Type Final (issued at the end of year), Interim (issued mid year), Special (separate from the typical dividend cycle) or Other
Distribution Payment How is the Distribution paid to the Company Shareholders? Select either Distribution Paid in CashDistribution Credited to Load Account or Other
Payment Date Date the Distribution is paid
Payment Currency Enter the Currency Symbol

Forms Prepared

CAS 360 will display the Document Production screen where the following documents can be prepared:

  • Cover Letter
  • Distribution Statement
  • Declaration of Distribution Resolution/minutes
  • Listing of Distributions Paid
  • Register of Trust Relationships
  • Register of Trust Events
